First prize in a Townhall competition, the project consists of a commercial building in front of Fuenlabrada Hospital, near to the university and to a residential area. The main project constraints were the triangular shape of the site and the need of sheltering a large and varied number of premises (including a large supermarket), all situated on the ground floor facade. The building is a group of premises with direct access from the street and aligned to it. Some have upper decks as outdoor private terraces. The facades attempt to provide a unified image to a heterogeneous distribution plans. A large canopy tops off the different upper volumes, offering a unified image of the building’s perimeter. Under this cantilevered canopy, a variation of materials and volumes adapt to the site´s slope. Three large pillars at the corners seem to "rise" the canopy to an upper level, over the rest of the building. A new internal street facing serves to organize all the vehicles access.
