The project consists of a partial and phased refurbishment of a shopping center in San Sebastian de los Reyes. Over the past years the center has lost its commercial attractive. Both their facades and interior distribution required a radical change but with low budget. Inside, a new distribution is planned, rearranging the premises according to main circulations and other commercial improvements. The second floor is made independent from the rest to allow a differentiated use (eg. Offices). Outside, the project proposes a change of the surface finish of its facades, since the current brick finish blends with the rest of surrounding houses. On the north side, the huge metal top covering is replaced by a lower canopy that brings in natural light to the upper floor and offers a new entrance to the centre. The facades of this area are replaced with glazzings, as a commercial showcase. On the rest of the facades new surface finishes are made. A vertical element, a commercial totem, is integrated into the building volumes.
