The building is designed to accommodate a large supermarket, a series of adjacent premises and a multiplex cinema. It’s situated in an urban, low density, residential area. The ground floor houses the main store, several smaller premises and outdoor entrances (pedestrian and vehicles). The multiplex theaters are located on an upper floor, with independent access from the street. The parking is located in the basement, as well as the facilities the storage rooms. The building’s outside volume is fragmented, according to the different premises that it shelters inside and in relation to the streets, reducing its height in the narrower streets and vice versa, causing a large contrast between the solid upper volume and the open smaller volumes of the ground floor. Outside just two materials: polished granite lower bodies and aluminium composite on the main upper volume. The entrances are emphasized by the presence of canopies or glazed surfaces that allow the activity to be seen from the outside. A back street organizes an independent access for loading and unloading.
