    Abstract:

The proposal is built on a platform in the middle of the site, acting as a new cornice from the bottom of the plot, which slopes gently to the street and respecting its topography. It aims to achieve a double integration in the environment, with a new architecture in a new neighbourhood without clear relations to blocks nearby. The roof is considered as a fifth facade, since it’s very visible hillside up. The autism center in our proposal is not a single building, but a set of interlinked buildings connected by a covered pedestrian walk, responding to the proposed tasks in the program. This scheme sets all the activity in the same level, both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor education plays a role in determining the boundaries between the residences and also between the interior and exterior. These spaces are developed in a linear gradient taking into account privacy, from the exterior and public, to the more private
