The generating elements of the building, beyond compliance with the functional program are: The use of natural light, simple structural frame, efficient facilities and facades that adapt to their orientation. It’s a three-storey building, articulated through a vertical communications core and an inner courtyard. The building is conceived as a single prism with a central courtyard inside, around which all the activity takes place. The courtyard provides natural light, distribution of functional areas and an indoor garden that creates a favorable environment and a positive attitude of patients and staff of the centre. We propose a systematic treatment of sunscreens, with a facade that is itself a lattice, which apart from providing weather protection is an integrating element determining the building's skin, repeating on all fronts, to enhance its unique character and contributing to a better bioclimatic function.
