The complexity of the program and the resulting scale/size represent the main starting points in this project, located in a very large site in a village near Seville. Thus arises a compromise between the farm and the home. The rooms are grouped together with functional criteria, around a large central courtyard. These rooms are activated or not depending on the occupancy of the dwelling and its specific use. The upper floor setbacks, emphasizing the horizontality of the whole, are reinforced by large eaves of the roof. Materials and finishes are proposed features of the area for an image among rural and urban, as the site itself is. The project includes a number of traditional elements in southern spanish architecture such as the courtyard, the porch or the pool, which is the most logical result of adaptation to a mild climate in winter but severe summers.
