A big site with an existing house is divided in two to build up a new house. The urban regulations constrained the size and proportions of the new house that led to a long and narrow rectangular shape building. The proposal aimed to avoid the perception of a narrow house by including a series of openings in its walls that offer oblique views of the garden and bring in natural light everywhere. Its original cubic volume seems to be carved with several voids that become porches, terraces or eaves that protect from solar exposure overheating and become everyday use spaces with mild weather. This duality mass-void or inside-outside is emphasized with the combination of ceramic and mortar, pale and intense colors.
